The Night Horseman

This is the sequel to Max Brand’s first western, The Untamed, that continues the adventures of Whistling Dan Barry, his horse Satan and wolf dog Black Bart. Buck Daniels tries to persuade Dan to come to the aid of Joe Cumberland, the man who took him in as and raised him as a boy. Joe’s health is failing, and he needs Dan back. So does his daughter Kate, but Dan has a uninvited run-in with Jerry Strann and beats him to the draw. That leads to Strann’s brother Mac going after Barry for vengeance. Dan has never run from a fight, but should he face off against Mac or stay with the man and the woman who love him?
