Poetry of Edgar Allan Poe

This is the first large print edition of the poetry of Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849). It includes such popular poems as “The Raven,” “The Bells,” “Annabel Lee” and “To Helen,” as well as lesser-known longer works such as “Al Aaraff” and “Tamerlane.” In addition to all his published poetry, this edition includes three essays by Poe on poetry: “The Poetic Principle,” “Old English Poetry” and the extended essay on poetry criticizing the well-known poets of his day that served as the introduction to the 1831 edition of his poems. An Index of First Lines is unique to this collection.
