Emily Brontë

Emily Jane Brontë (1818 - 1848), English novelist and poet, is known for her only novel, Wuthering Heights, considered a classic of English literature, published the year before she died. Emily was the second eldest of the three surviving Brontë sisters, between Charlotte and Anne, who both also wrote novels. She published under the pen name of Ellis Bell.
