Indiscretions of Archie is a novel adapted from a series of short stories, originally serialized in the Strand magazine between March 1920 and February 1921, and, all except one, in Cosmopolitan in the United States between May 1920 and February 1921. The stories were rewritten and reorganised to create a more flowing novel form. Archie Moffam is a WWI veteran from an old British family who seeks to make a career in America. His first wise move was to marry the only daughter of a hotel magnate. The father does not take to Archie and this novel records Archie’s zany efforts to win him over.
